Does UBI Therapy Really Work?

UBI therapy almost sounds like science fiction.

UBI stands for ultraviolet blood irradiation. That’s a lot of science-y type words, so let’s make it clear what the therapy actually is. It is a treatment that helps out your blood. UBI therapy is considered safe and has been shown in multiple studies to not have any bad side effects. And the good effects of UBI? Well, it may possibly boost your immunity, rejuvenate your blood, kill bacteria and viruses inside of it.

So how does UBI therapy work? And, to the point raised by the title of this blog post: does it really work?

UBI therapy

UBI therapy, despite its science fiction sounding premise, actually has roots in a very simple science. Science that has been known to humans for centuries. UV light, or ultraviolet, has been shown to have cleansing effects, the way that sunlight can be a disinfectant.

What happens during UBI therapy is that blood is drawn and then is sent through an ultraviolet light emitting machine. This machine cleanses the blood the same way sunlight would, with UV. This has been shown, generally, to have the proper potential to kill viruses and bacteria, and you know that’s a positive. After the blood is clean, it gets returned to your body. People can then go about their day, and they should be feeling rejuvenated.

UBI therapy is similar to another therapy offered at the Los Angeles-based RWA Center in Beverly Hills called Ozone therapy.

Ozone therapy is also a blood related therapy. In this therapy, instead of having blood cleansed by UV light, it is boosted with rich and pure ozone.

There are two types of Ozone therapy.  One is called 10 Pass Hyperbaric Ozone Therapy. In this treatment, your blood is drawn, gets infused with ozone, and then is returned to your veins. The “10 Pass” term refers to the amount of times that it is recommended you receive the treatment to receive the full benefits from it. Professionals also recommended that you continue on with maintenance treatments afterwards to really continue getting benefits. All of this may vary depending on your condition so it’s important to discuss with one of our medical professionals what a plan might be for moving forward with treatment. The second type of Ozone therapy is known as Major Autohemotherapy. This treatment is when you get highly purified ozone entered right into your blood. This raises the oxygen levels in your entire body.

Both of these excellent treatments can be received at the Los Angeles-based RWA Center in Beverly Hills. They can be had separately or purchased in a package.
