Using electrical muscle stimulation, truSculpt® flex causes muscles to contract as they would during physical activity.

With its multidirectional action, this treatment can achieve better muscle tone by making muscles work harder and in different ways. This results in a more sculpted shape. You can expect improved muscle mass and strength after just a few treatments.

When applied to the skin, the TruSculpt® flex handpieces send electrical signals to the nerves that control muscles. This tells the muscles to contract, which helps them develop more strength and tone.

TruSculpt® flex can target very specific body areas where even exercise can’t give you the tone and shape you want. The therapy uses three separate settings for maximum safety and effectiveness during your muscle toning.

The device starts with a prep mode that mimics stretching that you would do when preparing for exercise. This helps warm up the muscles. The second step takes your muscles into tone mode, which mimics exercises like squats that push your muscles to their limit. The third step causes fast, repetitive contractions that improve muscle strength and metabolism.

You may have up to eight handpieces placed on your body at a time. You will not feel the electricity from the device, but you will feel your muscles tighten and contract.

As with exercising, muscle contractions may feel a bit uncomfortable as muscles are pushed to work harder. Causing muscles to work hard makes them stronger and provides better definition to your shape. You should not feel pain, although you may feel some soreness in your muscles.

Treatments take about 45 minutes, and you will usually need several treatments for optimal muscle toning. Many people will begin to see improvements after four sessions. This procedure is safe enough that sessions can be repeated within 48 hours.

You can expect to see tighter, more toned muscles after several treatments. Because these treatments are short and effective, TruSculpt® flex offers a great method for improving muscle strength and mass.

As with exercising, muscles grow stronger and look more toned the more you use TruSculpt® flex muscle toning treatments. The less body fat you have above your muscles, the more visible your changes will be.

You can expect to see your results continue to improve if you continue with treatments. Keep in mind that these treatments are intended to improve and support, rather than replace, the results you will obtain from a healthy lifestyle.

If you want muscle toning in specific areas of your body, you may be a good candidate for this procedure. TruSculpt® flex is not a substitute for physical activity, which provides other health benefits.

You should have no downtime after the procedure, although your muscles may feel sore as if you have been exercising. You can return to your regular activities immediately after therapy.  You can even return for a repeat treatment in as little as two days.
