Peptides: Read This First

Peptides are short chains of amino acids. They may be from two to fifty. These short chains are linked by chemical bonds, AKA peptide bonds. Peptides are made by your body naturally.

But what do peptides do for your body? The answer is that they can do a variety of important things for you. It all depends on their class.

Scientific studies have found that peptides may have multiple benefits for you, including with your skin, your weight, and even your muscles.

In Beverly Hills, RWA Center has a wide selection of peptides that may be beneficial to the patient. These peptides have all been demonstrated in scientific testing to be safe because they all naturally occur within the human body. Patients interested in getting such peptides must first have a consultation with one of our medical providers and receive a careful exam of their past medical history, along with an overview of the patient’s health and wellness goals. When one of these medical professionals finishes accurately assessing which peptides might be most beneficial to the patient, then the process can begin. The consultation costs $250.

Peptides come in many different varieties which may benefit people in different ways.

Some examples include Melanotan II, which provides a protective mechanism against UV rays. There is also BPC 157, which promotes wound healing, but especially in the digestive tract.

PNC 27 has been called the “anti-cancer peptide.” This is because it has the ability to target and damage the membranes of cancer cells. DSIP can help with pain management and substance withdrawal.

MK-677, or Ibutamoren, may increase the secretion of growth hormone. Cerebrolysin is a tiny peptide that can promote the health of neurons in the brain and protect them from damage.

iRGD is a peptide that can make tumors more vulnerable to chemotherapy and other treatments. PT-141 and Selank do work in the brain. The peptide Semax may help improve memory and attention. There’s also a Semax and Selank 50:50 combo that combines the two peptides so the patient can receive the benefits of both.

NAD+ is a key coenzyme that helps with multiple metabolic functions. Kisspeptin influences testosterone levels while Pentosan Polysulfate is a peptide used for relief from osteoarthritis.

Met-Enkephalin is a peptide that acts as a neurotransmitter. Semaglutide is known to reduce body weight and body fat mass through reduced appetite and a lowered food intake. It also reduces insulin secretion.

Those are just some ideas of the many useful benefits of peptides!
