How Much Does Kybella® Cost?

Kybella® is the only FDA-approved injectable to treat submental (under the chin) fat. Not just a temporary skin-firming treatment, Kybella® breaks up fat cells to create a slimmer, more contoured neckline. As the only noninvasive fat-removal treatment for the submental area, Kybella® offers unique results previously only available with liposuction.

What is Kybella®?

Kybella® removes fat from the area under the chin. Both men and women see results from it, including a more slender neck, a jaw that appears more contoured, and a more sculpted chin. Robertson Wellness and Aesthetics experts inject Kybella® in a series of treatments to achieve the best results. The treatment usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes to perform.

How Does Kybella® Work?

Kybella® contains deoxycholic acid. In the human body, this chemical comes from the bile duct and helps break down the fats we eat. When injected into the fat under the chin and around the neck, it begins to break down these fat cells. The damaged fat cells get cleared away by the body’s lymphatic system, leaving the area will less fullness and decreased fat in the area.

What Will My Results Be Like?

While filtering away the broken-down fat cells happens gradually, you will see your results continue to improve between treatments until your final results have been achieved. People may need anywhere between two and six treatments to achieve the best results. Most people start to see results within a few weeks of their first treatment and will continue to see results for up to six months or more, depending upon the number of treatments.

How Much Does Kybella® Cost?

According to Healthline, the average cost of Kybella® ranges from $1200 to $1800. However, this may vary widely depending on where you live, the availability of the procedure, your provider’s skill and experience, and many other factors. Averages are not a direct quote for your procedure quotes.  A consultation with one of Robertson Wellness and Aesthetics’ doctors is the only way to accurately determine your price point. Our doctors will review your facial anatomy and submental fat to create a custom treatment plan that ensures optimal outcomes.

Am I a Good Candidate for Kybella®?

Most people are good candidates for Kybella®. The noninvasive procedure has been FDA-approved to be safe and effective when used correctly. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not have Kybella®. The ideal candidate should have reasonable expectations and overall good health.

Is There Any Downtime With Kybella®?

You may experience soreness, tenderness, and bruising for several days after treatment. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment. Some people may feel some firm areas inside the submental area, but these occur as a normal part of the fat breakdown process and should go away on their own as the body removes the fat.
